The American Inspectors Society (AIS) was founded in 1971 and is one of the oldest and longest standing agencies for the certification, accreditation and training of professional home inspectors. Based in Atlanta, Gerogia, the organization's mission is to train, educate, support and maintain the highest standards for its 750 member home inspectors worldwide by stressing the need for professionalism and a uniform set of standards in the home inspection industry.
