IRON TESTS

Often referred to as  a Total iron test

If red staining is noticed on bathroom fixtures, the iron level content needs measuring and controlling. High levels of iron can render the water impractical to use without treatment.

Most counties around Dayton have a high iron content in the water if it comes from a well.

Note: Iron can be controlled with at lower concentrations with a water softener and at higher concentrations with a sulfite filter.
